Compensation: $22-$26/hr

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll coordination and PTO maintenance for ARS-Rescue Rooter employees. Assists in the research and resolution of payroll issues for employees. Maintains personnel files.

We are seeking true payroll professionals with hands-on payroll administration experience. This role is best suited for candidates whose primary responsibilities have included processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll discrepancies, administering garnishments, and supporting employee payroll inquiries.

Responsibilties of a Payroll Specialist:

• Responsible for coordinating payroll for corporate and field employees. Resolves payroll and accounting issues by researching problems to find solutions. Acts as an intermediary between local emplpyees and ARS payroll.
• Maintains PTO records and adjust accordingly.
• Creates and distributes monthly payroll calendar and weekly reports to local leadership.
• Maintains electronic file folders of all payroll check registers, sales commissions and non-exempt salaried timesheets.
• Researches and resolves issues around ACH returns/reversals and reconciliations. 
• Processes garnishments, liens, multi worksite reporting, employment tax maintenance, wage verification and badging.
• Assists with new hire onboarding and technology.
• Manages quality assurance and customer concern calls for the branch.
• Provides HR/Payroll support to field and corporate staff.
• Calculates commissions for payroll.

Requirements for a Payroll Specialist:

• HS diploma, or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in payroll administration are required.
• Candidates with backgrounds as Payroll Administrators, Payroll Coordinators, Payroll Specialists, Human Resources Payroll Administrators, Human Resources Generalists with significant payroll responsibility, or Accounting professionals with direct payroll processing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Query, is welcomed.
