The Accounting Clerk supports day-to-day accounting operations across accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, reconciliations, and general accounting activities. This role works closely with the Controller and General Manager to maintain accurate financial records, support month-end close, strengthen internal controls, and contribute to facility and cost-improvement objectives in a deadline- and procedure-driven environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $24 - $26/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of accounting duties, including accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and general accounting support.
• Process and reconcile accounting documents, including invoices, billings, cash receipts, vendor statements, and journal entries.
• Review and code financial information, customer payments, profit and loss information, and other accounting reports for accuracy and proper classification.
• Assist the Controller with month-end close activities, reporting requirements, account reconciliations, and related financial support.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies by reviewing account activity and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accounting controls and financial security by consistently following established policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Maintain a close working relationship with the General Manager and Controller to coordinate facility objectives and support cost-improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to team results by sharing responsibilities, cross-training, and supporting the needs of a collaborative small-office environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of core accounting functions, including accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, reconciliations, and general accounting processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with particular strength in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong task-management skills with the ability to work effectively in a deadline- and procedure-driven environment.
• Excellent multitasking, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, cross-train across responsibilities, and adapt within a small-office environment.
