The IT Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring that software applications and systems meet business requirements and function reliably before release. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and working closely with developers and stakeholders to improve overall product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Perform manual and/or automated testing of software applications
  • Identify, document, and track bugs or issues to resolution
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business teams to clarify requirements and expected outcomes
  • Validate that fixes and enhancements meet requirements and do not introduce new issues (regression testing)
  • Participate in requirement reviews to ensure testability and completeness
  • Maintain test documentation and report on testing progress and results
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production releases as needed
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in software testing or QA
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with test case creation and defect tracking tools (Azure DevOps)
  • Working knowledge of common software architectures (web/mobile/API/DB)
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases and work in complex pre-production environments
