The Assistant Operations Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the service center, helping to drive technician performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role assists leadership with managing staff, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring operational standards are met.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven HVAC leader ready to step into senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the management of daily service center operations to ensure efficiency and service quality
  • Assist in supervising, coaching, and developing technicians and support staff.
  • Help monitor technicians productively, sales performance, and operational metrics.
  • Support scheduling, dispatch coordination, and workload distribution
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Help implement operational plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Support inventory control, warehouse coordination, and material management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedures
  • Assist leadership with reporting, performance tracking, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

Skills we're seeking:

 

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3-5 years of HVAC or plumbing-related service industry leadership experience
  • Prior experience as a supervisor or assistant manager preferred
  • Strong understanding of business operations, P&L, and budgeting
  • Proven success leading a team to achieve branch/corporate objectives
  • Proficiency with computers and operational systems
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to drive performance in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Valid driver’s license required
