Overview

Reporting into ARS’s Vice President, Procurement , this high visibility position will be support the Director – Fleet Strategy and Operations in managing ARS’ fleet of vehicles. Tasked with procuring and measuring the performance of the company’s fleet of motor vehicles to eliminate or lessen the risks, improve effectiveness, and decrease the costs for transportation and staff throughout the company. Analyze the accuracy of vehicles records and compliance with government rules and regulations. Must be able to direct vendors for goods and services and give direction to service centers in negotiating costs and invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage orders for vehicles, track and report progress, address delays, communicates professionally and accurately with Operations staff in the field, resolve vendor issues and keep updated records.
  • Measure and report on vendor performance, including OEMs, maintenance providers, fuel suppliers and vehicle disposal suppliers.
  • Analyzes spend and performance with a goal of delivering the best value for money. Makes recommendations for change to the Category manager and Vice President on the same.
  • Analyzes all safety and company rules and regulations in the performance of duties
  • Directs the licensing and titling of company leased and owned vehicles.
  • Tracks vehicles on order for the company.
  • Authorizes the shipments to branches and suppliers.
  • Provides analysis of vendor information and makes recommendations on that analysis.
  • Maintain users and data in ARS fleet website and serve as subject matter expert on the same
  • Manages special projects or additional requirements as directed
  • Travel up to 10%

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field is required
  • Knowledge of state licensing and titling requirements required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Purchasing experience preferred
  • Strong digital and analytical skills are preferred
