Overview

The UX/UI Designer will be an integral part of the ARS Creative Team, working closely with Graphic Designers, a Video Editor, and a Copywriter to bring cohesive digital experiences to life. This role will also collaborate closely with the Web Development Lead to establish and evolve digital design systems for a network of 30+ brands. The designer will extend and enhance existing brand guidelines, creating comprehensive digital asset libraries for use in email templates, web pages, and other design elements. Additionally, the role will contribute to testing and learning initiatives, focusing on improving the user experience through thoughtful, innovative design solutions.

Success Defined

  • Develop scalable and cohesive digital design systems for 30+ brands.
  • Consistently improve user experience and engagement metrics, such as time on site and bounce rates.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal creative team members and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Deliver innovative design solutions that elevate brand identity and usability.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by learning or leveraging coding skills to enhance digital asset implementation.

Success Factors

 

Technical Expertise

  • Strong proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and development frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Deep understanding of UX design principles and best practices

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with the Creative Director, Web Development Lead, VP of Digital Marketing and creative team members to ensure design consistency. ·
  • Clearly articulate design concepts, strategies, and results to stakeholders.

Adaptability and Continuous Learning

  • Stay updated on design trends and tools to drive innovation
  • Actively seek opportunities to upskill in digital design and coding.

Outcome/Measure for 2025

  • Design and implement a robust digital design system aligned with ARS brand guidelines.
  • Show measurable improvement in UX metrics, such as user engagement and site navigation.
  • Deliver high-quality digital assets on time and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Successfully collaborate on multiple projects across various brands.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in UX/UI or digital design, preferably in a multi-brand environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch.
  • Experience with content management systems and digital asset libraries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and user-focused mindset.
  • Coding knowledge (HTML/CSS) or a willingness to learn is a plus.

This is a fully remote position. Excludes candidates from CA, WA, and CO.
