ARS Rescue Rooter of Durham NC is in search of a North Carolina Licensed Electrician to join the team IMMEDIATELY

Provides the installation of electrical systems to residential and/or commercial customers. Also, may include some troubleshooting, maintenance and service of electrical systems. Maintains good customer relations and applies technical skills and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations to all work.

  • Keeps supervisors informed of job progress as well as any problems.
  •  Locates and diagnoses electrical system problems using test equipment.
  • Reviews blueprints to install, inspect, repair, wire and maintain a variety of electrical systems and equipment to include main electric panel boxes, receptacles, lighting fixtures, switches, under-counter lights, sprinkler systems, conduit or metal flex and appliances.
  • Installs and maintains low and high voltage (120-480 volts) distribution.
  • Responds to emergencies and/or service calls and troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment to determine the nature of the problem. Troubleshoots more complex electrical problems.
  • Ensures that all electrical installations are accurate, serviceable and meet code parameters.
  • Ensures that materials used and workmanship meets the requirements of applicable technical and safety standards and will pass inspection.
  • Provides a description of diagnosed problems to customer in terms that can be understood.
  • Labels all circuits and new panel installation.
  • Maintains, inspects, and fuels vehicle.
  • Transports materials and tools to the job site and provides proper accounting of tools.
  • Completes all required documentation on services and collects/records fees for delivery to the office.


  • NC Electrical License
  • HVAC Experience is a PLUS, not required
  • Hired candidates are required to undergo pre-employment drug screens, driving record check and background checks.
